Across GOFO’s operations in the Netherlands, reusable transport materials are becoming a core part of the network’s daily operations. By implementing reusable black pallet boxes and recyclable plastic pallets throughout the Dutch network, GOFO is reducing reliance on traditional single-use logistics packaging while building a more circular transport system.
Both the pallet boxes and plastic pallets are made from recycled and recyclable materials designed for long-term circulation. Made from recycled PE-HD materials, the plastic pallets are built for repeated use in demanding logistics environments. Instead of being discarded after a single use, these materials remain in operation for years before being recovered, recycled, and reintroduced into production. This closed-loop approach helps reduce waste while extending the lifecycle of logistics equipment across the supply chain.
The reusable system also supports operational efficiency throughout warehouse and transport processes. The foldable pallet boxes help reduce empty transport volume during return flows, while the lightweight plastic pallets improve handling efficiency and transport consistency. Compared with disposable carton or wooden alternatives, the reusable materials provide a more durable and resource-efficient solution for daily logistics operations.
For GOFO, sustainability improvements are not limited to large-scale initiatives or long-term ambitions. They also come from optimizing the everyday materials that move through the network thousands of times each day. By integrating reusable transport equipment into operations across the Netherlands, GOFO continues to take practical steps toward a more circular and resource-efficient logistics system.
