Advancing lower-carbon logistics across the Netherlands
GOFO Netherlands has published its latest Emission Reduction Report on Logistics Solutions, outlining measurable decarbonization progress across route planning, sorting hub operations, and delivery performance throughout 2024–2025.
Through advanced route optimisation, GOFO supported a 17% reduction in per-parcel carbon emissions in December 2024, based on sampled DSP data from France and the Netherlands. Smarter routing reduces fuel use while improving delivery speed — particularly important during peak season.
Within sorting hubs, GOFO prioritised two key areas: renewable electricity and energy efficiency. A significant sustainability milestone was reached when the sorting hub in the Netherlands achieved 100% renewable energy adoption, strengthening the foundation for greener daily operations.
Delivery-related emissions also improved through more efficient transport rounds and cleaner vehicle deployment. By the end of 2024, 39% of the selected fleet across France and the Netherlands consisted of low-emission models such as hybrids, BEVs, and bicycles — supporting the shift toward cleaner last-mile transport.
Progress toward GOFO’s 2045 Net Zero ambition
Together, these advancements reflect GOFO Netherlands’ commitment to reducing carbon intensity across its logistics services, supporting the company’s broader journey toward its 2045 Net Zero objective.
