Operational Support Specialist

Job responsibilities

1. Procurement & Supply Chain Support

• Manage local procurement in France (supplies, equipment, warehouse materials) for the main Paris warehouse and provincial sites;

• Assist the China procurement team with transport arrangements, customs clearance, and supplier communication;

• Handle supplier contracts, invoices, and documentation, ensuring compliance and data integrity.

2. Project & Facility Management

• Follow up on warehouse-related projects (installation of surveillance systems, equipment deployment, etc.);

• Coordinate project progress between main and secondary sites, ensuring quality and timelines;

• Oversee equipment maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, and develop SOPs to ensure proper usage.

3. Supplier Management & Market Research

• Conduct market research and cost analysis to evaluate service quality and competitiveness;

• Support supplier onboarding, selection, and relationship management, maintaining an up-to-date supplier database.

4. Internal Processes & Administrative Support

• Handle internal approval workflows, documentation, and archiving;

• Manage material consumption, stock levels, and recycling records;

• Contribute to warehouse flow optimization and ensure compliance with global 6S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety);

• Continuously improve operational processes to boost efficiency.

Job requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role (supply chain, purchasing, operations, or warehouse management), ideally within an international environment.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of procurement and supply chain processes;

• Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP or procurement management systems;

• Knowledge of HSE or 6S standards is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities;

• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Languages:

• Fluent in French, with a good command of English;

• Mandarin Chinese is an advantage for communication with China-based teams and suppliers.
