Job responsibilities
Operational management :
– Supervise and coordinate all Hub activities (receiving, sorting, shipping, incoming/outgoing flows).
– Ensure performance targets are met: productivity, service quality, on-time delivery.
– Ensure the correct application of company processes and standards.
Team management :
– Manage and lead teams (team leaders, sorting agents, handlers, forklift operators, administrative staff).
– Supervise, with the support of HR and partner agencies, the use of temporary staff (quantity, quality, costs).
– Participate in budget monitoring related to the employment of temporary workers and ensure optimization of resources.
– Recruit, train, develop and retain permanent employees.
– Organize and supervise several shifts (morning, afternoon, night) to ensure continuity of operations.
– Define and monitor schedules, taking into account peaks in activity.
Steering and performance :
– Monitor operational KPIs (service rate, error rate, operating costs, safety) and implement action plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
– Optimize the use of human, technical and material resources, while controlling the Hub’s overall budget (human resources, materials, energy and consumables).
– Draw up budget forecasts, monitor variances and propose corrective measures to guarantee the performance and profitability of operations.
Quality, safety and compliance:
– Ensure compliance with quality, safety and health (HSE) standards.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures (safety, social rules).
– Ensure compliance with the French Labor Code and legal obligations in terms of employment, working hours and safety.
– Manage internal and external audits.
Coordination and reporting :
– Ensure regular communication with management.
– Produce and analyze Hub activity reports.
– Collaborate with the Transport, Last Mile, HR, IT and Administration departments, as well as with the Data Analysis team.
Job requirement
Training :
– Bac+3 to Bac+5 in logistics, transport, supply chain, industrial management or equivalent.
Experiences :
– 5 to 10 years’ experience in warehouse management, logistics hub, sorting platform or distribution center.
– Significant experience in managing large teams (>50 people).
– Familiarity with managing temporary staffing budgets.
Technical skills :
– Mastery of logistics management tools and information systems (WMS, TMS).
– Good understanding of transport/messaging flows.
– KPI management.
Behavioural skills :
– Leadership and team-building skills.
– Sense of organization and rigor.
– Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and peaks in activity.
– Results orientation and compliance with operational objectives.
