Terminal Sourcing Manager (full-time)

Job responsibilities

• Oversees the coordination of Delivery Service Provider (DSP) resources and manage franchise relations within the region.

• Collect and analyze information on competitors in the industry. Participate in the formulation of policies such as delivery fees and terminal transportation subsidies based on the current situation of regional operations.

• Build a transportation and distribution network from the ground up (0 to 1) in the Netherlands area as needed, emphasizing efficient last mile delivery solutions.

• Improve the operational quality (cost and timeliness) of service providers and transportation networks, and manage the growth and development of regional franchisees and networks.

• Lead the evaluation and onboarding of new service providers, while developing and executing policies for regional franchising, with a focus on last mile delivery.

Job requirements

• Over 2 years of logistics operation experience, with experience in terminal delivery and transportation management. Experience working within companies like GLS, UPS, DHL, FedEx, or Poste Italiane is preferred.

• Proven experience in sourcing and managing small parcel delivery partners. You should have an established network of local last-mile small parcel delivery service providers.

• Familiar with the operation mode of logistics service providers and last-mile delivery partners, ideally have an established network in Italy. Highly price-sensitive with a demonstrated ability to negotiate prices successfully in the past.

• Given the need for familiarity with the Italian market and local resources, candidates must reside in Italy or have prior logistics work experience in Italy. Applicants not meeting this criterion will not be considered.
