Transport Coordinator– Night Shift

Job responsibilities

1. Planning and Flow Organization

• Develop and optimize transport plans (national and regional);

• Ensure coordination of inbound flows, inter-site transfers, and last-mile operations;

• Guarantee the availability and reliability of transport resources.

2. Carrier Management & Transport Procurement

• Identify, select, and negotiate with carriers and subcontractors (linehaul and last-mile providers);

• Conclude and monitor transport contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance;

• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance (KPIs, quality, costs, lead times).

3. Operational Monitoring & Quality

• Monitor daily carrier performance through KPIs;

• Identify and escalate deviations in quality, costs, or lead times, and propose corrective actions;

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Administration & Compliance

• Manage transport-related documentation (contracts, invoices, disputes);

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

5. Reporting & Communication

• Produce regular reporting for management;

• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) and external partners.

6. Other Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and evolution of the TMS (Transport Management System);

• Anticipate the impact of customer promotional activities on transport operations and analyze seasonality trends.

Job requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of proven experience in transport coordination, logistics planning, or operational management, ideally in a multi-site or fast-paced environment;

• Previous experience in night shift operations would be an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of national and regional road transport and related regulations;

• Proficiency in IT tools and Transport Management Systems (TMS);

• Ability to analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage carrier performance;

• Experience in negotiation and contract management with carriers.

Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational skills, rigor, and responsiveness in dealing with unexpected situations;

• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities;

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with both internal and external stakeholders;

• High degree of autonomy and responsibility, especially during night operations;

• Continuous improvement mindset and results-oriented approach.
